Upgrading made easy
Things you need to know
As NBN Co rollout out their fibre upgrade program across Australia, certain nbn Fibre to the Node (FTTN) and Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) connected addresses will become eligible for an upgrade to a full fibre FTTP connection. You can find out if you can Flip to Fibre™ by checking your service address on this page.
By checking your address above, you will quickly discover if your premises is ready for a FTTP upgrade straight away, or any time within the next three months.
If your premises has been allocated a “ready for FTTP upgrade” date, you’re eligible for free installation when you upgrade to a FTTP, provided you order a new high speed nbn plan of Family Max (500/50) or faster.
Once you’ve placed your order for a new high speed nbn plan with free* FTTP installation, we will submit the upgrade request with nbn and then connect you onto your new high-speed plan when your new fibre connection is activated. *Free standard install only when you stay connected for 12 months on 500 Mbps plan or higher. T&Cs apply.
It’s important to note that your “ready for FTTP upgrade” date is the earliest date NBN Co can commence connecting your premises to FTTP. NBN Co will commence the installation of your new FTTP service from either your “ready for FTTP upgrade” date or the date you place your order, whichever is the latest.
For nbn FTTN premises:
Urban Area: 19 Business Days
Regional and remote areas: 24 Business Days
For nbn FTTC premises:
Urban area: 25 Business Days
Regional and remote areas: 29 Business Days
When your new high-speed Flip to Fibre™ service activates, your account will be credited for the prorated unused portion of your FTTN or FTTC service and you will be invoiced for the monthly fee of the newly activated FTTP service.
The free installation offer applies to standard FTTP connections only. Additional connection charges, such as New Development Charges or unforeseen works may apply.
The Flip to Fibre™ promotion is subject to qualification and Superloop reserves the right to withdraw or change the offer. See Terms & Conditions.
Plan inclusions, prices and promotional offers advertised may not be available at all addresses. The service qualification address check is only a preliminary result of plans and prices available in your area. Please note that the result may vary, together with plans, prices and promotions available at your address, as we process your order and connection.
A speed tier speed is the theoretical maximum speed of the access line connecting your premises. The actual speeds you experience, particularly during busy periods, may be limited by demand in other parts of the network and will typically be much slower. For more information, see about fibre speeds.
Typical Evening Speed is the average speed experienced by a representative group of users between the hours of 7pm and 11pm. It is not a guaranteed minimum speed and past performance is not an indication of expected future speed. The actual speed you will experience depends on many factors such as your access technology, the total demand on the network, local internet traffic and your physical line condition. For more information see about fibre speeds.
Superfast and Lightspeed nbn speeds are only available at FTTP connected addresses. Download speed performance on these speed tiers will vary significantly depending on time of day. Typical Evening Speed should be used as a guide to likely performance, however as these plans are newly launched, we have insufficient data to accurately calculate their Typical Evening Speeds in-field. As we gather more performance data, we will quickly replace our estimate of speed performance of these services with in-field data. For more information see about fibre speeds. We particularly recommend the use of a Superloop supplied modem when connecting to these speed tiers.
