A historic club. Modern ambition. Connected by Superloop.

The Hahn Australia Cup is full of stories we love at Superloop. Community clubs taking on bigger opponents. Passion beating pedigree. And challengers willing to take a swing at the bigger guys.

That's why we're back for another season with Football Australia, helping connect grassroots football to bigger audiences through the high-speed connectivity powering automated live broadcasts at community stadiums across the country. It's not sponsorship for sponsorship's sake. It's about helping more people experience the moments that make local football special.

One of those stadiums is Genis Steel Stadium, home of Preston Lions. Founded in 1947 by Melbourne’s Macedonian community, Preston is a club with deep roots, challenger energy and modern ambition. After fighting its way back to the top of Victorian football, the club entered the Australia Cup national rounds for the first time in 2026, then announced itself in the Hahn Australia Cup with a 3–2 stoppage-time comeback against defending champions Newcastle Jets.

For a club built on community, connection matters. Not just on the pitch, but beyond it. As Preston's profile continues to grow, Superloop's high-speed fibre is helping more supporters, families and future players stay part of the journey, bringing more eyes to the club and its story whether they're at the ground or watching from afar.

Preston has incredible history, but it’s a club building for what comes next. Through our partnership with Football Australia, we’re proud our network can play a small part in that story. They’ve fought their way back, they’re backing themselves on a bigger stage, and they’ve got a community right behind them.
