Superloop powers up at PAX Aus 2026

Three days. Thousands of gamers. Independent developers, creators, cosplay and some seriously competitive tapping. Superloop went all in at PAX Aus 2026.

From 9–11 October, Superloop joined Australia’s gaming community in Melbourne as a major sponsor of PAX Aus 2026, backing the Aus Indie Showcase, putting the Superloop name on the Main Theatre and challenging attendees to find PAX’s fastest gamer.

For Superloop, it was an opportunity to show up where great internet really matters, while supporting the creators, developers and players helping shape Australian gaming.

Backing the next generation of Australian games

At the heart of the partnership was the Aus Indie Showcase powered by Superloop, putting Australian independent developers and their games in front of the PAX community.

Superloop helped upgrade the showcase spaces with better tech, bigger artwork and more room for attendees to discover and play the featured games. Each winning team was also offered 12 months of free Superloop internet and an eero 7 modem for their studio.

Because great Australian games deserve the chance to be seen, played and discovered.

Putting gamers to the test

Elsewhere on the show floor, the Superloop Sprint asked one very important question: who is PAX’s fastest gamer?

Players put their reflexes to the test in a reaction game, battling their way up a live leaderboard for the chance to win a custom Aftershock gaming PC, 12 months of free Superloop internet and an eero modem.

And the Superloop Main Theatre put the brand centre stage throughout the weekend, with Superloop appearing across stage branding, screens, event signage and broadcast placements.

From the screen to the show floor

There was another familiar face among the action.

Izak Arwan, the talent behind Sunny, the gamer character from Superloop’s TV campaigns, joined the team as host across the three-day event.

A gamer and self-described internet nerd himself, Izak Arwan swapped the ad screen for the show floor, hosting meet and greets, joining the Superloop Sprint action and creating content alongside Superloop’s social team.

PlayItShady, Shannon Grixti, Bajo, Walkrman and JeyJeyBink also joined Superloop across the weekend, meeting fans, exploring the indie games, checking out the cosplay and creating content from the show floor.

Game on

The weekend delivered plenty beyond the show floor too.

In the team’s first post-event update, 25 stories and reels had been posted or were in the editing pipeline, five creator partners had helped promote the competition and joined Superloop at the booth, and the brand’s Instagram community reached 5,000 followers.

Most importantly, PAX Aus 2026 gave Superloop the chance to get amongst a community that cares deeply about gaming, technology and the internet that connects it all.

Great games deserve to be seen. Great gamers deserve internet that keeps up.

Until next time, PAX Aus.
